Born on July 5, 1971 in Nice. After a "brilliant" school curriculum, Thomas Morin faces from the age of 15 years to the art of French cuisine. It was in the restaurant "Jamin", headed by Joel Robuchon a super star, that he begins his three-year apprenticeship. An early job in hand, he spent the following ten years travelling around the world to feed his gastronomic knowledge.
The beginnings of Le Cuisinier Nomade His first "big trip» led him to Foudiougne, in Senegal, Hotel **** Les Piroguiers. Then United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, these journeys were discoveries. He paced the kitchens of award-winning restaurants and wore out his shoes in some who did not shine, crossing great leaders or great horns, mentors, crooks, in cold and warm seas, Monaco, Paris, Bordeaux, Barcelona, Bangkok, Amiens, Amsterdam, New York, on boats, in hotels, in pizzerias, "in" places and “out” places. Cooking in another world In subsequent years, he continued his tour of the globe where he performs his art in villas ever more luxurious, yachts ever bigger of stars, politicians, businessmen and the wealthy Russian heirs, Americans, Saudis, English. His popularity forced him to innovate in order to satisfy the requirements of his wealthy sponsors. Private parties and dinners longer stays staggered and fantastic, he develops a resilience that has shaped his experience over time.
Master of instinctive cooking Today he keeps alive in his discipline, the actions of a few masters and memories of significant meetings. These unforeseen appointments have perfected his technique, forging his personality and leading to the pleasure of instinctive cooking, exchange and creation. He now devotes his life to grow in that direction while continuing his journey of initiation. Thomas Morin tries everyday to raise the culinary culture to the level of Art. Today, only unique performance and transmission of his knowledge animate his nomadic life as a cook.
